Dogvatar (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Dogvatar mobile app, website, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

- User-Generated Content: Videos, chat messages, survey responses, behavior tags, and feedback submissions.
- Account Information: Email address, password (hashed), and optional profile information.
- Usage Data: Log data, app usage patterns, device identifiers, and feature engagement (used to improve app performance and AI accuracy).
We do not collect sensitive health, financial, biometric, or precise location data.
2. How We Use Your Information

- Train and improve our AI systems (e.g., Simon, our AI assistant)

We may share anonymized, aggregated insights (never tied to your identity) for research, reporting, or academic publication. We may also share data with service providers (e.g., cloud storage or analytics tools) under strict contractual obligations to protect your data.

We retain your data for as long as your account is enabled, or as needed to provide Services. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal content from our systems, subject to any legal or compliance requirements.

Dogvatar is not intended for use by individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We use encryption, stringent access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS) to protect your data, following industry-standard security best practices. Our software adheres to OWASP guidelines to mitigate common vulnerabilities. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is handled in compliance with GDPR, with a focus on user consent, data minimization, and transparency.
9. Ownership of Data
- You retain ownership of all raw content (videos, chats, surveys).
- Dogvatar owns the AI models, algorithms, and tools built using anonymized and aggregated data derived from user inputs.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email.
